CAKE: Chicago Alternative Comics Expo

Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, from 11 AM to 6 PM CAKE will be taking place for FREE. Come see Haley and Adelaido (Del) Olea table at the First Slice table on Sat. June 2nd and then find Haley's work at ISG Columbia's table on Sun. June 3rd. 

From the Website: The Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE) is a weekend-long celebration of independent comics, inspired by Chicago’s rich legacy as home to many of underground and alternative comics’ most talented artists– past, present and future. Featuring comics for sale, workshops, exhibitions, panel discussions and more, CAKE is dedicated to fostering community and dialogue amongst independent artists, small presses, publishers and readers.

From the event page: Exploring the origins of each artist, this curated exhibition reflects on the images, sensations, and nostalgia of home through the point of view of senior illustrators. on the precipice of great change, "zipcodes" serves as a lasting look at one's roots. 

Join the artists in a night of laughter, talent, refreshments, and memories as they prepare to draw their undergraduate education to a close. All are welcome.
